Rain rain go away come again another day.......i can hear myself humming it everytime it rains. For the last couple of days i am humming to Flood flood go away...do not come not another day. I am glad the weather is fine again so much for the flood. I have not updatee my blog lately as it has been a busy months.I do hope 2009 will be a good year for the restaurant despite the gloomy ecomomy focus.People are more prudent in their spendings. Despite the lower price of fuel prices of food is still high i cant see it coming down .I feel for the lower income group.I guess everyone has to buckle up when it comes to spending.
My daughter Rahil seems to enjoy her new school in Mukah.Everyone is so helpful and friendly and the best thing of all there is no traffic jam.

Its the month of ramadhan thought i flew home to spend few days fasting with my family in kuching.It has been a heactic weeks and late night which i have grown used to. In the process i have met some lovely and not so lovely customers.For the nsl ones i could handle them quite well , i learn new things and be more patience and understanding sounds easy but believe me its difficult sometimes. Back home its so good to see my children and hubby i missed them so much.There is so many things i want to do with them in those 5 days break. OH they must have missed my cooking, on the ride home i stopped at the supermarket and get their favourite food . why do everything has to start with FOOD . I guess its mothers instinct thinking that their children must be half starving while their mums are away.These are my favourite questions which my n4 dread did u drink enough water, fruit and bla bla bla.I dont have to tell u the answers......just guess. They just want their mums back and i am overdoing the food part. My husband understands me very well otherwise we wont be married for 24yrs....is that how long it is.well i am not complaining .5 days is a day away. i missed them already. Insyallah i will see them this hari raya...SELAMAT BERBUASA.

How time flies.Its been 10 months since i arrive in Mukah . From a full time housewife with nil experienced in running a restaurant. I found it quite an achievement. I have to thank my family for their understanding and support. How they managed to keep things in order back home.They have grown into responsible children in those 10 months i was away. My no1 has just graduated and is hunting for job ,its a good start for her managing the home before joining the workforce.I do hear complaints from her that she is tired ferring the siblings from school and tuition and grossary shopping and blah blah......been there done that oops..no offend dear.I miss them dearly but its something i have to do for myself am i trying to prove something here? May be. I do enjoy running the restaurant despite the ups an down, agreement and disagreement to contend with.The moment i dread most was when i closed the place at midnite walking to the empty room thats when i missed them tremendously.
LOVE NEVER GIVES UP, NEVER LOSES FAITH,IS ALWAYS HOPEFUL,AND ENDURES THROUGH EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE.

what a hectic months it has been. I have been away in Mukah ( used to be a small fishing village ,rapid development has been taking place for the last 5 years and is now booming with activities).
I was asked by my sister to run her seafood restaurant since November 2007. Been a full time housewife all my life , i thought it might be a good change. Sounds familiar isnt it. Hubby asked to think hard before taking that 'BIG STEP ' as it means i can only get to see them once a month as planned. I though why not lots of women do that this days working away from home , hubby take care of things at home plus i have a good maid to rely on sounds easy rite. After all the place i am going to is where i was borned and raised and its just an hour by flight ( view the aerial pics here).Whats the fuss all about? In the end i managed to convince them. The parting part was difficult that was to be expected, it helped them to be more independent i guess.As for me it was not easy too , stepping on unfamiliar territory , meeting new people, learning new things everyday.

Check the Gregorian calender 16oct ....ST HEDWIG. Yes I was born on that day. My late grandfather named me Hedwig after a German saint. When I started school it was difficult for them to pronounce my name. I was like thinking why didn't he name me Mary - its a saints name too. So much easier to call. Instead of HEDWIG or HEAD WIG your head full of wig thats what i heard most of the time. It was fun for them but me I was cursing most of the time, Bless her....
so i decided to take the matter into my own hands, I changed my name to Heidi till today I am known as Heidi but in my ID it remains as Hedwig for official use only. As you grow older you appreciate the name given , the meaning behind it and it makes u start to think it is a very beautiful name fit for a queen. Please check online on Queen Hedwig. I did not see it then....But its not too late. I have named my blog simply Hedwig.........not forgetting Harry Porter's owl is called Hedwig too. Welcome to the club, HEDWIG.

I enjoy walking very much.I would always tell my friends oh u shd walk more often its good exercise.This morning i decided to walk to the grocery shop about 1km from my house to get the sunday paper.I took my green grocery back with me.the weather was perfect for walking so is my shoes.i got my newspaper alright plus bananas, chicken ,few kinds of vegetables which the lady convinced me to buy and some local kuih which looks so irresistible.

Hi! Its quite kecoh here. Guess what? Everyone wanted to help me to write my first blog, as they think that this 40 something women will find it difficult to type.. error here and there. Hands off! I am beginning to get the feel of it. Now leave your mum alone to get her first blog complete. SIGH..... now lets see. Where were we? Ya, the BLOG. I have been wanting to start my own blog ever since I discovered that housewives blog too, besides cooking, cleaning, and all the chores thrown at you. Do I sense a tinge of bitterness? NO not anymore.. I am beginning to enjoy it...Even though I am typing it very slow.....I don't care... they can wait ....I can't. I enjoy reading other blogs - MR MANAGER is top on my list. DAPHNE IKING'S OH that lady she is beautiful, funny and i just love reading her blog.. Just to name a few. I am still getting used to the keyboard , bear with me. Typing error here and there.. need to call my daughter to help me with that. Kids these days. They eat and sleep computer....As i was saying, i confided with my better half about starting my own blog. He was like nonchalant..."honey are u sure u can keep up with it.? blogging takes time." I was thinking, so is making love...what a big deal. I'll prove to him here that I can maintain my blog. We'll see. I asked my oldest daughter is it difficult to start a blog? Well its easy but are u sure mum. She was giving me that face. You know what i mean. Nonetheless she helped me. Here I am happily typing away. Call me if u need me. She is good I tell u. My youngest one just passed by "mum we want our dinner".....I'll continue later. Can't they leave this poor woman alone......sigh
